Sales of GM's Chevy/GMC quartet jumped 135% to 1047 units in May 2014. They're up 7.4% to 1861 year-to-date. In other words, 56% of the company's year-to-date volume was generated in the month of May alone; in 20% of the allotted time.

Bigger, not just newer, proved to be better, as well. The Suburban and Yukon XL generated seven out of every ten sales produced by the foursome. In total, the quartet owned 86.3% of the market; 61.7% year-to-date.
