Blancpain Sprint Series: Front row for Audi in Zandvoort qualifying

Circuit Park Zandvoort played host to a thrilling Blancpain Sprint Series qualifying session this morning. The Audi squad performed well with strong results in the end.

The #1 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT qualified in second place. The car in the hands of Laurens Vanthoor and Cesar Ramos set a best time of 1:36.893, just 0.281s behind the pole setting #28 Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 from Grasser Racing.

Another car from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT did well, Rene Rast and Enzo Ide will start from position four with their #2 Audi R8 LMS ultra.


The two Audis from Phoenix Racing made it into the Top 10. The #6 Audi R8 LMS ultra of Markus Winkelhock and Mayr-Melnhof qualified in seventh place. Their team-mates Marc Basseng and Alessandro Latif qualified in ninth place with their #5 Audi R8 LMS ultra securing pole position in Pro-Am class.

Vincent Abril and Mateusz Lisowski sharing the #4 Audi from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT qualified thirteenth overall securing pole position in the Silver Cup class.
