DTM: Second place for Timo Scheider in Nürburgring FP2

The Audi RS 5 DTM cars were very fast in a fought and close second practice session at the Nürburgring.

A great second place for Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) in the session. The two-time DTM champion was very fast and set a best time of 1:23.587, only 0.009s behind Mercedes-Benz's Paul di Resta.

Three other Audi drivers performed well. Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was sixth fastest with a best time of 1:23.640. Nico Muller (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was seventh. Mattias Ekstrom (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) was tenth.


All other six drivers were outside the Top 10. Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was thirteenth, Jamie Green (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was fourteenth, Edoardo Mortata (Audi Sport Team Abt) was fifteenth and Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) was eighteenth.

The qualifying session will follow next with Audi drivers eager to shine and take pole position.
