BTCC: Audi drivers want to shine in Brands Hatch finale

The British Touring Car Championship is heading to Brands Hatch this weekend, the season finale of the 2014 season. Three Audi NGTC cars will enter the event from Rob Austin Racing and Rotek Racing.

Rob Austin Racing will field a pair of Audi A4 races for team-owner and driver Rob Austin and his team-mate Hunter Abbot.

The team will be eager to perform well at Brands Hatch. Rob Austin a race winner this year at Rockingham will try hard to collect strong results and fight for a podium. Rob Austin is now.twelvth in the overall drivers standing with 146 points with his #101 Exocet Racing Audi A4.


Hunter Abbot is having a very positive debut in the demanding BTCC and as Rob Austin will seek strong performances in the middle of a healthy privateer field. Hunter Abbot is twentieth overall with 20 points driving the #54 Alcosense Breathalysers Racing Audi A4.

Rotek Racing will have a single car at Brands Hatch, their Audi S3 Sedan will see a slight change for the finale. Robb Holland won’t enter the event and will be replaced by Tony Gilham, a familiar name in the BTCC paddock a driver and team owner.

As usual  the two practice and qualifying sessions are set for Saturday. The three final races in 2014 will be held on Sunday.
